Uncle

My uncle passed away on January 3th and I had been at my home town for a week. He was only 57 and left two children behind - a boy aged 12 and a girl aged 9. At the funeral, his daughter did not seem to have realization that she lost her father. She sometimes froliced around and was chided by her mother. I am anxious about their mother. Though I live far from her, I'd like to give my heart to her and want to listen her problem, as a fellow mother.

BTW, most Japanese funeral services are Buddhist funeral rites. 5 monks intoned sutras for about 30 minutes. During the sutra, they played a kind of instruments called Mokugyo (temple block) in a uniform rhysm. When the rhysm started, my 2-year-old son started dancing in the chair! I understanded his feeling, but had to stop him in hurry.

My uncle died from heart attack. But he had been in good health until the day of the attack. Doctor said that it was so-colled sudden death.
How precious it is to live a normal life with family. I have to live each day with more love.

that is sad. I really feel for your family and wish them luck in this very hard time.
My uncle died just over a year ago leaving behind teen boys. It is hard, we help as much as possible by being a part of the childrens lives more than we ever were before - sports events etc.
In Japan you deal with death very diferent, greave with a different 'opinion' (not the right word?)
support is the only advice I can give you. And yes live each day with more love.
